Full Protection up to IP66/IP69K (Full-IP): Unlike standard systems that often protect only the front panel, true Rugged Panel PCs are completely sealed against dust and water ingress. This even allows cleaning with high-pressure water jets.
M12 Industrial Connectors: To maintain enclosure sealing even at the interfaces, these systems use screw-locking M12 connectors for LAN, USB, and power supply connections.

A standard Panel PC usually protects only the front side (e.g. IP65 front protection) when mounted into a control cabinet. A Rugged Panel PC provides Full-IP protection (IP65/IP66/IP69K) for the entire enclosure, including all cable entries. In addition, the internal components are mechanically isolated against stronger shocks and vibrations and designed for extreme temperature conditions.
Conventional RJ45 or USB connectors do not provide protection against moisture or fine dust ingress. Screw-locking M12 circular connectors physically seal the enclosure interfaces while also preventing cables from loosening due to heavy vibrations.
Optical Bonding fills the air gap between the touchscreen and the LCD panel with a transparent liquid adhesive.
